Care Homes & Academies
Care Home operators face a difficult task and must make decisions that affect the health, safety and well-being of their residents whilst still considering financial pressures. As we age, our ability to control our body temperature declines, so residents may have special requirements and sensitivities that need to be addressed.
We have helped many Care Home organisations design and install the perfect solutions to ensure the comfort and safety of their residents.
We take into consideration many factors including, but not limited to: energy efficiency and running costs; the surface temperature and presence of sharp edges when selecting radiators or other heat emitters; the control of risks relating to scalding by hot water and ensuring residents and staff have control over the heating and cooling in their own rooms.
Similarly, with academies and colleges, the comfort and safety of staff and pupils is essential to a successful working and learning environment. There may, for example, be some areas of low activity that require a higher operating temperature, and vice versa. Again, low surface temperatures on heat emitters and pipework will be a consideration, as will be, perhaps, tamperproof controls and non-concussive taps, which cannot be left turned on.
We can prepare a bespoke Service Schedule to suit your Care Home or Academy’s individual requirements. This will improve the long-term efficiency and safety of the system. We also provide access to prompt advice and callouts should you experience any problems or breakdowns. However, experience has demonstrated that our thorough level of service significantly reduces the level of callouts!
When we are visiting, our professional highly trained technicians (all DBS checked) are polite, discreet and will carry out their work with a minimum of disruption to your day.
